    I’m sorry to tell you this, but the HR function the way you know it is dying. COVID-19 and forced remote work has just accelerated the process.
    The point is that HR is going through a radical shift the same way the marketing function was disrupted 15 ago by data and digital transformation. Marketing today has nothing to do with what marketing was back then.
    Data driven insight, a focus on customer pain points, the development of strategies to engage with customers and to create personalized experiences will become the norm in the world of HR in the coming years.

    Despite these very challenging and uncertain times, the need for Employer Branding is critical. Many companies have implemented hiring freezes and are making incredibly difficult decisions about whether to furlough or let go of valued talent during these difficult times. But, during these uncertain times, or when it’s business as usual, Employer Branding is not solely about recruitment – Diversity Branding is integral to Employer Brand. The activities should be Always On and about a candidate’s and employee’s experience and how you make them feel. While new challenges appear in the hiring landscape, new opportunities to consolidate a strong brand and a unique candidate experience present themselves, too.

    Lisa Smith-Strother will discuss how RELX has embraced agility to engage meaningfully with candidates, employees and others by creating thoughtful content that shows how the company is living their values to support their employees and the wider community.     An organization’s ability to grow, innovate, and iterate over time depends on how they create and activate a highly engaged workforce to do their best work in the environment they expect. The Now of Work that is 2020 put more emphasis on supporting the Digital Workplace, but the mission is the same: Deliver an experience to people, not technology.
    You can’t deliver workforce experience out of thin air. You need to imagine what’s possible – that’s mindset. You need to garner support, rally around changes to people and process, and support the required change management. Finally, you design and deliver the experience itself, usually fueled by technology to help sustain it. Meaningful, sustained digital transformation employs human-centered design thinking to reimagine workforce experience and the role of workforce tools and technologies.

    If you really mean it when you say Employee Experience, you treat your employee as your customer. Everything has to do with their satisfaction and the usability of the tools and services you provide them. Jason Averbook explains how to break silos, reimagine workforce experience in the Now of Work, and deliver experiences that wow at moments that matter.
