  • 7:50am – 8:05am:

    Light breakfast and networking

  • 8:10am – 8:20am:

“EXpresso Shot of HR Disruption”, by Stephan Vincent, Founder at eX Summit.

I’m sorry to tell you this, but the HR function the way you know it is dying.
The point is that HR is going through a radical shift the same way the marketing function was disrupted 15 ago by data and digital transformation. Marketing today has nothing to do with what marketing was back then.
Data driven insight, a focus on customer pain points, the development of strategies to engage with customers and to create personalized experiences will become the norm in the world of HR in the coming ways.
Whether you like it or not, change has come. It’s up to you to decide what you’re going to do with it.

  • 8:20am – 8:40am:

“Inclusive by Design: Gender Equity at Work”, by Nicole Armstrong, CEO at Queen City Certified.

Did you know there are the same number of CEOs of Fortune 500 companies named James as there are women? Or that when a pool of final candidates includes only one woman, she statistically has zero chance of being hired?

This talk will explore why “leaning in” won’t solve gender inequality in the workplace. We’ll challenge common assumptions—including the narrative that encouraging women to pursue high paying jobs in STEM will solve pay disparities or that women lack confidence in the workplace.

Finally, we’ll explore bias and how to interrupt it with data-driven approaches—shifting our focus from changing people to fit systems, to changing systems to be inclusive of all people.

  • 8:45am – 9:05am:

“Leveraging Talent Data to Improve the Employee Experience” by Chris Powell, CEO at Talmetrix.

  • 9:10am – 9:30am:

“Culture/Brand Overlap: Why Culture Matters in Brand”, by Janie Weisman, Culture Practice Lead at TENFOLD.

Most organizations spend quite a bit of time on either creating an Intentional culture aligned or a purposeful brand, but very few find that magical sweet spot where culture aligns with brand and becomes a point of true competitive advantage. TENFOLD Brand and Culture Practice Lead, Janie Weisman, will lead you through why it’s important to find that sweet spot overlap – and how to find it your organization.

  • 9:35am – 9:55am:

“Mastering Organizational Change Management”, by Mat Barter, Founder and CEO of CloudPires.

Too often we geeks in IT like to put a tool in place to solve a people problem. We implement a new tool without ever addressing the “who going to use this and how’s it going to rock their world” elephant in the room? Organizational Change Management is critical to delivering the total package. Rally the organization and get folks bought in to the goal. Change the way IT delivers technology to the people.

  • 10:00am – 10:15am:

    Break – snacks

  • 10:20am – 10:40am:

“M&A The Right Way: Focus on the Employee Experience”, by Nicole Neal, Director Employee Xperience at One10 Inc.

Mergers and Acquisitions are an effective growth strategy for many organizations. A key challenge facing organizations through the M & A process is creating an amazing employee experience in efforts to keep engagement high. During this session we will discuss pitfalls to avoid as well proactive strategies focused on the human side of Mergers & Acquisitions.

  • 10:45am – 11:05am:

“Advancing Your Culture of Caring”, by Mark Donohue, Founder & CEO at LifeGuides.

  • 11:10am – 12:10pm:

Panel discussion: “Employee Communications: switching from a boring corporate communications mindset to an employee marketing mindset.”

Panelists are Amy Goodman (Vice President, Human Resources at Sibcy Cline, Inc.), Natalie Guzman (Senior Vice President, Internal Communications Director at Fifth Third Bank), Tarek Kamil (CEO & Co-Founder at Cerkl), Stephan Vincent (Founder of eX Summit & eX Podcast). Companies must change their corporate mindset into a consumer brand mindset when it comes to engaging with their employees.
